new spaper
There are currently two newspapers that should change any water-cooler moment. The first is "The First/Last Newspaper" by Dexter Sinister - in a hosting space facing the New York Times building in NY transformed into a functioning press office, writing, editing, designing, they distribute a broadsheet newspaper across the city with collaborations of writers, artists, and designers, with the intent to reflect the condition of contemporary media and the news therefor generating debate.
The second is Dutch collaborative "Daily Whatever" founded in 2006. It is a free and independent newspaper produced ‘on the spot’ during the Dutch Design Week. The newspaper invites any designer|artist|writer to collaborate by sumit work that informs the public on design topics and aims to stimulate the design climate by bringing theory, issues and news which provoke debate.
