Fashion Designer Dimitra Giannopoulou is currently exploring the form of fairy tales to examine the human relationship with fashion, clothes, its social and environmental impact.  The simple framework of well known fairytales and moral punchline, are adapted into "Eco Fashion Tales" that reflect the contemporary world.  "Eco Fashion Tales" are a product of an insightful research on female teenargers' consumer behavior.  The language in which the reality is portrayed not only informs the viewer of the existence of sustainable fashion, but also leads to self-reflection on one's consumption pattern.Important as it is, communicating to an audience on this matter is an example that the trend-setting fashion world is undergoing changes, from inside-out. Adaptation of the tale "The Emperor's New Clothes" is a sample of the designer's research at MA Sustainable Fashion, London College of Fashion.
