Began to look into more detail of communications within growing food movements allied to social and design innovation. The literature map is developing, as you can see in image above, I will share a high-res image once it is final.
Attended an exciting book launch at Camberwell College of Art and Design "I used to be a design student", published by Brighten The Corners published by Laurence King, a selection of work from Camberwell graduates including; Jonathan Barnbrook, Hyperkit, KK Outlet, Daniel Eatock, showcasing their student and professional projects.

Welcome to the Anthropocene A film about the state of the planet opened the UN's Rio+20 summit on sustainable development. The summit was the largest UN meeting to date. A 3-minute journey through the last 250 years of our history, from the start of the Industrial Revolution to the Rio+20 Summit. The film charts the growth of humanity into a global force on an equivalent scale to major geological processes.

Slow Food is a global, grassroots organization with supporters in 150 countries around the world who are linking the pleasure of good food with a commitment to their community and the environment. A non-profit member-supported association, Slow Food was founded in 1989 to counter the rise of fast food and fast life, the disappearance of local food traditions and people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world. Today it has over 100,000 members worldwide, as well as a network of 2,000 food communities who practice small-scale and sustainable production of quality foods.
