"Disruptive Qualities" workshop with my supervisor Adam ThorpeI (humbly) joined in on a workshop session run by my supervisor and a couple of his colleagues, to continue a discussion they had began while at a workshop during Cumulus Conference 2013. The workshop built on the notion of 'emerging qualities' presented by Prof. Ezio Manzini of Politecnico in Milan, which is extremely relevant to my research.

Some images from Central Saint Martins / Camberwell / Royal College of Art This week there were several final shows openings, I was glad to see a common thread of thought around sustainability issues, namely innovation for sustainability. At the Royal College of Art I also joined in a talk ran by MA and PhD students on Disruptive Design and Critical Design, for example the work of PhD student Veronica Ranner. There seems to be alot of projects that apply speculative thinking to alternative future scenarios. Although some of this speculative scenarios may seem slight disturbing at first, one can question the actual potential they might have in real world solving wicked problem scenarios.
