TALK Jeremy Rifkin at RSA“The Third Industrial Revolution”

The millennial generation (i.e. under 31s)  will find value in the sense of community, rather than as previous generations that valued material possessions. This generation will  define freedom as transparency and openness and ability to be embedded in communities.

It will aim to be open transparent and collaborative.  Power will be distribuited laterally.

The good life will be defined not by the mass of property ownership but by the access to networks.  Social capital will prevail, and entreprenours might ask, “How much was  i able as a social entrepreneur to use my creativity to create social capital?”

We should not dream of utopias because they are perfect and we humans are not perfect. But rather live in an empathic world, root each other on and balance each other out.
